This beautifully authentic villa is on a very quiet street in a traditional village

set back from the more peaceful west bank of the river Nile.

The views stretch out across beautiful banana plantations and mountains.

 

There are 5 large air-conditioned bedrooms all with own bath and/ shower, over  three floors.

The villa is entered via a small courtyard with fountain.

The ground floor contains: a well-equipped kitchen with small garden; two bedrooms,

one double-bedded and one with twin beds; two bathrooms,

one with bath and one with shower.  

​

The marble staircase leads to the first floor, with a large domed living room,

two double-bedded bedrooms and two bathrooms.  

On the second floor are roof terraces with splendid views in different directions

across banana plantations to the Nile and to the mountains to the west.

There is a double bedroom with domed ceiling and a separate bathroom

Natural air-conditioning throughout is provided by the high central dome

which cools the house in the traditional way,

there are electric air conditioning provided outside the winter months.

The villa is well equipped for self catering,

breakfast and other meals can be provided at a very reasonable cost

and served to you on the roof terrace,

in the kitchen garden or inside the house - the choice is yours.

There is a large swimming pool in a hotel 2 minutes away

which our guests can use for a small daily cost.

Other activities can include riding (there is an excellent stable in the village),

camel or donkey rides around nearby villages and trips to the edge of the desert.

Cycle hire is also available.

The Colossi of Memnon and the temple of Medinet Habu are a short distance away.
